Of all the rear wheel carriers available on the market the Terra Firma is the one we keep coming back to for all Defender models (to 2016).  It mounts to the body and chassis, taking the load of the spare wheel off the rear door hinges.  BUT it opens and closes with the rear door - no separate latch or lock.  Easy to fit and easy to use.

This one can also be modified to suit the Perentie chassis - the bottom pivot bracket needs to be modified.  That will allow this wheel carrier to be fitted to the five-door Commander variants, or will suit those of you who have fitted full length hard tops to your Perentie (you will lose the right hand jerry can carrier though).
