The cooling system in the 4x4 Perentie has one major fault - the level in the reservoir IS NOT the level in the rest of the cooling system.  The radiator can be empty, but the reservoir can still be full.  Usually the only way to check the actual cooling system level is to take the brass plug out of the thermostat housing.  This tiny hole is also the usual fill point.

BUT not anymore!  We now have this coolant reservoir kit available for you that we have been using through the workshop for some years.  Using a Defender coolant reservoir it allows the cooling system to be filled through the bottom hose, pushing air out as it fills (no more air locks).  This kit also shows the ACTUAL coolant level in the system at the clear reservoir.

The kit contains a new reservoir, new radiator cap, bottom hose tee-piece, fill and breather hoses, mounting hardware and fitting instructions. Installation is easy using existing holes.
